Many people ask, “What is xylitol?” To put it simply, xylitol is a natural sweetener with many other health benefits. Xylitol has a crystalline, granular structure with a sweetness comparable to sugar. It naturally occurs in many fruits and vegetables and is produced by the human body.

Is Xylitol brand new?

  • No. During World War II sugar was unavailable and a company in Finland began producing Xylitol
  • In 1970 large scale production of Xylitol began in earnest
  • Chewing gum first appeared in the USA in 1975 and because of its impressive health benefits and improved technology availability of Xylitol has steadily increased.
